Game of Thrones

I have found a new love.  Don't get me wrong - Deadliest Catch still my #1 love but...very close behind is Game of Thrones.  Like Catch, I can't even begin to explain why I love this show, I just do!  OK, I take that back, I could go on and on and on about why I love this show but I will spare you the babble. 

Basically, it's a series of books that they have turned into an HBO series.  It's very Lord of the Rings-ish with fantastical stuff like dragons, the walking dead and magic and whatnot.  But also lots of knights and battles and you know I love me a good strong sweaty man, fresh off the battlefield (Bering Sea crab boat or battlefield - it's all the same to me)!  One of my favorite characters is a dude that is the kings body guard, barely speaks and has a half burned face/body because his brother thru him in the fire when he was a child - oh and they call him The Hound.  I love it!  Lots of characters to like, love and hate - all with their own stories, backgrounds, families and flaws. 

If you are not down with watching HBO and seeing naked people all the time, you can read the books which seem to be more tame, they follow the books pretty closely in the show.  HBO just completed the 2nd season, which is thru the 2nd book.  I have watched both seasons and due to withdrawals I have started reading the books.  I just started the 1st book and am taking my time to savor every word...I love it!  Therefore, I officially endorse you Netflix-ing Game of Thrones or reading the books - DO IT NOW!!!  Then you can call/text/post me to tell me how much you love it.
